Johnathan and Mason

It was June 1, 2008 at 2:00 a.m. in the morning. Six silent bullet shots rang out, taking the life of my two best friends, Johnathan and Mason, plus their mother and grandmother that night. Man, I lost everything. I won’t ever be the same. I got up that morning, (I was only 12); I smiled at my family, and the first words out of my mouth were, “I’m going to get dressed, then go play with Johnathan and Mason!” I went, got dressed, ran back out, and mom said, “Rori… sit down we need to talk.” I nodded “Ok.” I sat down, and mom said “Johnathan and Mason are… dead…” I got wide-eyed in disbelief, got up and bolted out the door. I saw everything. I will never forget breaking down, right then and there, thinking I was in a dream.
Almost three years down the road, I knew I needed to move on. So, I decided to write a letter. It helped some. From: Rori… R.I.P. everyone….
P.S. To send a letter to heaven, get a balloon, and tie your letter to it. Then, go outside, and let it go so it can fly away.
