Online Peer Supporters
There are no current Peer Supporter opportunities. Peer supporters are aged 16-24 and have an interest in helping their peers get through tough times by posting empathetic and supportive messages in the ReachOut forums. Our Peer Supporters receive an expenses-paid training, which is an excellent opportunity to gain and develop leadership skills, professional development, increase your knowledge around mental health & have a major impact helping your peers.
If you’re interested in an internship for college credit, our program gives students the opportunity to experience working in the nonprofit sector while focusing on large scale ReachOut projects aligned with their studies. If you are interested in an internship for 2015, please send a cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. We are always looking for interns interested in editorial, digital outreach, youth engagement, graphic design, social media, counseling/psychology, public health, fundraising and non-profit administration.
Moved by requests from schools and communities looking for youth to discuss mental health topics and break down the stigma in the youth population, Inspire partnered with CalMHSA to train a selection of passionate youth volunteers for the speakers bureau circuit in California. Inquiries for speaking engagements available can be made to email@example.com.
Meet Our Volunteers
ReachOut’s Volunteers are an amazing group of teens and young adults from across California who work together to maintain a safe, supportive environment of the ReachOut Forums. These volunteers act as role models to new users of the forums and offer positive and encouraging perspectives on youth topics around mental health. They also promote ReachOut and advocate for improved mental health outcomes for their peers in their schools and communities, manage our social media channels, and contribute to the creation of new ReachOut materials and ideas. They are our superstars!
Meet out awesome volunteers:
