    Hey I'm Makayla.

I'm Makayla. I'm 18 years old. I live in [...] North Carolina. Recently I've been struggling with a break up. And I researched helpful websites and stumbled upon this one. I would've never usually blogged about help. But I'm completely hopeless. I feel depressed and haven't stopped crying since the break up happened. I just need someone to talk to and will be patient with me

    Hello Maky,

I’m glad that you found us in your search! Break ups can be rough, and it sounds like you’re really hurting right now. Having people that you can talk with, and finding things to distract with can be so helpful in the process of healing your heart. Do you have a trusted friend or family member that you can open up with?

One thing that really helped me get through a tough break up was to avoid songs, movies, tv shows and things of that nature that would immediately remind me of the relationship. Another thing that helped was teaching myself some more difficult songs to play on my bass guitar. Learning those songs helped to distract, but also gave me time with myself and something I could be proud about. Meditation, taking walks, working on something artistic or crafty, or writing can all be helpful as well.

It may feel like these feelings are never going to leave, but they will. Your heart will heal if you give yourself some kindness and patience. We’re all here for you! Stay strong!

I wrote in another post about this, but no. I don't really have people to talk to. My friends are getting annoyed and impatient. And so are my parents. I need my parents love and support more than anything right now and I'm not getting it. Literally have no clue what to do.

    Hello Maky,

I saw your other posts as well! If you're not feeling the support from your parents that you need, do you feel you can tell them that? If it helps, perhaps write it out at first and go from there. Sometimes it can be helpful to write it out and even give what you've written to the person or people, and then start the conversation from that point.
