Hello (a little about me I guess)

Uhm hello. I guess I'm a little nervous about this... To start off, I guess I enjoy a lot of interests...Drawing, writing, fashion, baking, etc. I love these things I'm able to express my self with but I have a problem: I have the biggest difficulty telling people my emotions at all, and with depression I'm bottling these emotions no matter the costs of telling someone every time it comes and shows its face and makes it worse. It's so scary and I feel I already know the response from people close to me. Uhm, anyways, I guess that's it? Sorry if its not really a lot. Thank you for reading this.

Hello AiRaCat, and welcome to ReachOut! We’re all so glad to have you here!

It looks like you have a lot of great hobbies, and find them to be helpful in expressing yourself. I’m glad to see that, and I can tell that you must be pretty talented!

It sounds like your struggles are more with being able to open up and talk about what you’re going through with other people. It can be scary not knowing how someone will process and react what you tell them. Do you feel that it’s that fear of their reaction that has you feeling like you know their responses, or have you seen them react to other people in the same way? One thing that can help is to write it all out first, and practice in front of a mirror, or you can even give your writing to the people you’d like to start the conversation with. Is there one person among them that you feel a bit more close to, maybe trust more than others? That may be a good place to start.

Another thing that you can do is call the helpline Your Life Your Voice at 1-800-448-3000. They’re really great to talk to, and available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. That number is free to call and confidential as well. You can find out more about the helpline and the various ways to contact them visiting THIS link to their page.

We’re all here for you, and we truly care! You are not alone!
