Being gay, alone, depressed and suicide.

Hi there! I'm Lokesh 23 yrs old from India. Until 15 years I lived my life without thinking about what others assume about me, but as I moved for my higher studies I realized that I'm a gay, I started getting away from everyone slowly my social life got worse, I loved a guy he too left me alone. I went into depression for almost 6 months tried committing suicide twice but failed.. I've no friends in my life now, no one with whom I can share or talk, my life is hell and every single day I pray to God to give me death. I started being reserved, started stammering while talking to strangers, every day I close the door and cry loudly behind the four walls for disgusting life i have. All my friends relocated to U.S and some working in India, no one came came to me, no one called me... Why is life so hard for me? I neither kill myself nor have a confidence to live?

Just b'cuz I'm a gay can't have love in my life, can't love a guy, can't have a partner for life, no one to love me...

Welcome to ReachOut Lokesh! I'm so glad that you found us here tonight, and took this courageous step in opening up to us. We're so glad to have you here!

It sounds like you've been struggling with these feelings of depression and loneliness for a while now, and I am really so sorry for that. I want you to know that you are not alone in this. We all truly care about you, and what to be a part of your support.

I see that you feel that there isn't anybody in your life that you can talk with. How about your friends who have relocated? Are you able to talk with them on a regular basis? Do you feel that reaching out to one of them that you trust is an option? Another thing you can do is call a helpline like Your Life Your Voice. Since you're not in the U.S, the phone number may not be an option, but you can still utilize their email, and online chat options. The online chat is available between 6 pm and midnight CST (which is 4-10 pm Pacific, and 7 pm to 1 am ET). Click HERE for more information on how to contact them. I'm also going to include THIS page, which has a lot of International resources.

I've included a few resources and fact sheets here that have some really great information.

I know that times feel dark right now, but there is always hope! You are deserving of such great things, and your life has so much worth! Stay strong! We're all here for you!
Note: The ReachOut Forums will be suspended after December 31, 2015. All existing threads and posts will still be available to read and review, but no new posts will appear. -- Your Life Your Voice
    -- Ok2Talk
-- American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
-- Trevor Project Trevorspace for LGBTQIA youth
    -- ReachOut Australia forums
